Patients
Register patients by mobile number, keep a running visit timeline, link families, and track credit.
Mobile-number-first registration
A patient's identity in Ayunila is their mobile number. When you register someone, the app checks that number against every patient the platform already knows — if it matches, the existing person is reused instead of creating a duplicate record, even if this is their first visit to this particular clinic.
This shows up most clearly on the Walk-in flow (Appointments → Walk-in): type a mobile number and, if it belongs to a known patient, a Returning patient card appears immediately with their name and which branches of your clinic group they've visited before — no re-typing their details.
- 1Open Patients and click New patient.
- 2Enter the patient's full name and mobile number (required).
- 3Optionally fill in email, date of birth, gender, blood group and address.
- 4Add any known allergies and chronic conditions — type each one and press Enter to tag it.
- 5Add an emergency contact if available.
- 6Click Create patient.
If the mobile number already belongs to a patient elsewhere in your clinic group, registering them here links them to this clinic rather than creating a second, disconnected profile.
Patient profiles
Open any patient from the Patients list to see their full profile: contact details, allergies, chronic conditions, and tabs for their visit history, credit balance and linked family.
The visit timeline
A patient's Timeline lays out every appointment, prescription and invoice in one chronological view — the fastest way to see what happened at a patient's last few visits before they walk in again.
Family / household linking
The Family tab on a patient's profile lets you link relatives (spouse, child, parent, sibling, guardian, or other) to a single household. Link a family member by their mobile number — they must already be a registered patient to link.
- 1Open the patient's profile and go to the Family tab.
- 2Click Add family member.
- 3Enter their mobile number and pick the relationship.
- 4Save. The patient who links others becomes the Family head.
If linking fails because the number isn't found, register that person as a patient first, then link them.
Patient credit (khata)
Every patient carries a running credit balance — a postpaid tab, similar to a shop's khata. The Credit tab shows the current balance and every charge and payment entry.
- 1Open the patient's profile and go to the Credit tab.
- 2Click Add charge to put an amount on their account, or Record payment / Settle balance to pay some or all of it down.
- 3Enter the amount, a note, and (for a payment) the payment method.
- 4Save.
The patient list and profile both flag an outstanding credit balance so front-desk staff can see who owes money before they leave.
Finding a patient fast — ⌘K / Ctrl+K
From anywhere in the staff app, press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux), or tap the search bar at the top of the screen, to open the command palette. Type a patient's name or phone number and matching patients appear instantly — pick one to jump straight to their profile.
The existing patient record is reused and linked to your clinic — you won't end up with two separate profiles for the same person.
No — they need to be registered as a patient (at any branch in your group) first, using their mobile number, before you can link them.
Yes — the Credit tab is where you charge and settle a patient's running balance separately from a specific invoice, useful for clinics that let regular patients pay later.
The ⌘K / Ctrl+K search and the Patients list search both match on name or phone — just type either.
