Privacy & messages

Control which messages you get, see what your data is used for, download a copy of it, or ask for it to be erased.

Messages

Privacy & messages lets you turn appointment reminders and promotional messages on or off. You'll always get appointment confirmations, bills and lab-report notices by message, regardless of these settings — those are part of your care and billing, not marketing.

How your data is used

This section lists the purposes your data is used for at each clinic you're registered with. Treatment and storing your record are marked Required — they can't be switched off, because a clinic can't treat you or keep a record of your visit without them. Where a clinic lets you control other purposes (like sharing your records across its branches), those show as a toggle instead.

Note

If you want to withdraw consent for treatment or record-storage itself, that's not a toggle here — it's an erasure request, below.

Your data

  • Download a copy of my data — everything held about you at every clinic: visits, prescriptions, lab results, bills and consents, as a single file.
  • Ask for my data to be erased — the clinic verifies who you are, then removes your personal details (name, phone and similar). Your clinical record itself is retained, as Indian law requires, but it will no longer identify you.
Heads up

An erasure request can't be undone. You pick which clinic it applies to, and can add an optional reason before sending it.

Why can't I turn off treatment or record-storage consent?

They're what makes it lawful for the clinic to treat you and keep a record of that visit at all — there's no version of being a patient there without them. Withdrawing them is what an erasure request does.

Will turning off promotional messages stop my appointment reminders?

No — reminders and promotional messages are separate toggles. And whatever you choose for either, appointment confirmations, bills and lab-report notices still reach you, since they're tied to the visit itself, not marketing.

What happens to my medical record after erasure?

The record stays on file, because clinics are required by law to retain it, but your name, phone and other identifying details are removed so it can no longer be traced back to you.
